Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing reservations, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role is vital in setting the tone for our establishment and maintaining smooth operations during service hours. Prior experience in hospitality or food service is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a polished appearance. The Host will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing excellent guest relations and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about services Coordinate with the restaurant or hotel staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timely seating Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station area Assist guests with special requests and provide information about menu items or hotel amenities Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally Handle guest check-in/check-out procedures if applicable, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure

Requirements

Previous experience as a Host/Host, in food service, restaurant, or hotel environment preferred Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest services, and serving etiquette Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor with good phone etiquette Experience in guest relations and hospitality industry is advantageous Must be personable, attentive, and able to work well within a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $24.43 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 35 per week
