Position Title: Hospital Lab Manager

Job Summary:

Assists the Administrative Director with the daily functions of the department to promote efficient and effective services to include high standards of quality service, safe environment, relationship building and customer and team member satisfaction. The lab manager is also the hiring manager for the department, completing interviews with qualified candidates and making hiring decisions.

Requirements:

  • Required License/certification: ASCP, AMT, HEW or MT equivalent.
  • High School/GED Diploma/Associate Degree
  • Three (3)-Five (5) years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop team building, systems thinking, complex problem solving, negotiating and influencing, change and conflict management, data analysis, coaching and mentoring, strategic planning, business strategy development.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully train staff members on all areas of department.
  • Ability to work as generalist Medical Technologist.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage time
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment in the completion of assignments and duties.
Preferences:
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience
This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce.
