- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital laboratory, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality assurance standards
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to optimize workflow and maintain accuracy
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
- Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply chain management
- Provide leadership and mentorship to laboratory staff, promoting a positive work environment
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and clinical research initiatives

Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field (Master\'s degree preferred)
- Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification
- Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent, as required by the state of New Mexico
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, regulations, and quality assurance protocols
- Demonstrated experience in managing laboratory staff and resources
