Summary:
Responsible for the general welfare of horses within the feedlot by managing all activities involved in the shipping,
receiving, processing, doctoring, and daily care of horses in a manner that ensures the minimum of stress
and promotes the best animal welfare.

Education:
2+ years experience and Bachelor\'s Degree from 4 year college or university or equivalent combination of experience and education

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and updates all horse transactions, through a feedlot management software system.
• Monitors horses on a daily basis, removing sick and horses to the feedlot hospital for treatment in order to protect the herd from the spread of disease.
• Inspects animals for evidence of disease or injury and treats according to experience or following instructions of Staff Veterinarian.
• Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels of medication and supplies.
• Processes horses as they arrive at the feedlot to ensure that they are properly inspected, sorted, vaccinated and/or branded in a timely manner that minimizes stress to the animal.
