Santa Barbara Home Health is looking for an Intake Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have an excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities include handling patient referrals, coordinating care services, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring that all intake documentation is accurate and complete.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process patient referrals from hospitals, clinics, and physicians
Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather necessary information
Verify insurance coverage and benefits for services
Coordinate the scheduling of home health services
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
Ensure timely and efficient communication between patients, staff, and providers
Qualifications:
No experience required, willing to provide proper training
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems
