Position Summary: The Document Tracker supports the agency\xe2\x80\x99s mission to maintain compliance with regulations and continuously improve documentation tracking, pre-bill audits, and authorization processes. Responsible for authorizations, document tracking, pre-bill audits and ensuring data is available in the revenue cycle systems for the billing team to process billing timely.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Responsible for the agency\xe2\x80\x99s authorizations process, including contacting insurance companies, and obtaining and tracking authorizations for all referrals.
Sending, receiving, and tracking all documents requiring physician signature and notification, such as plan of cares, physician orders, discharge summaries, transfer summaries, missed visits, and additional coordination of care documents.
Review and input appropriate data into revenue cycle systems for billing team to process billing timely.
Work collaboratively with the Administrator or designee to streamline the authorization processes, improve pre-bill audits and document tracking procedures.
Adhere to required regulations for pre-bill processes to be completed in accordance with billing timelines.
Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism with agency staff, physicians, referral sources, and all other community partners.
Participate in committees and meetings as applicable.
Participate in the education of staff regarding federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to job responsibilities.
