Zurich Insurance is looking for an Associate - Hedge Funds for our New York office. The ideal candidate will work in a team setting to assist with the implementation of Hedge Funds Investment Strategies. This is a great opportunity to join our Zurich Alternative Asset Management team.

Responsibilities Include:

Support senior investment professionals in researching and analyzing alternative investment strategies such as equity long/short, credit, merger arbitrage, convertible arbitrage, global macro, commodities, and fixed income arbitrage using quantitative and qualitative techniques. This will consist of:

• Improving, updating, and streamlining due diligence infrastructure for hedge fund managers to comply with industry \xe2\x80\x9cbest practices\xe2\x80\x9d.
• Preparing clear and comprehensive reports on manager meetings and portfolio analysis.
• Performing initial screening and comprehensive investment due diligence of prospective funds.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in business, finance, accounting, engineering or economics and 4 or more years of experience in Asset Management and/or Investment Management area OR
• Master\'s degree and 2 years of experience in in Asset Management and/or Investment Management area AND
• Experience in data science and analytical modeling
• Knowledge of portfolio management, including knowledge of investment techniques and asset allocation, investment research, capital market

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master\'s degree in Finance, Economics or MBA
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• Experience in data science, analytical modeling, and programming, such as Python, R
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Azure, and Power BI
• Basic Bloomberg skills
