HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

$16-25/hr Blythewood, South Carolina

Aerotek is hiring heavy equipment operators for a brand new construction project in Blythewood, South Carolina. it is a 1500 acre wide project that started two weeks ago and is projected to be a 2-3 year long project, eventually going to be a manufacturing facility for Volkswagen.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate front end loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, dingos, rollers
• Drive off road dump trucks, transporting dirt and soil throughout the project
• drive a dozer and/or motor grader pushing dirt on site
• utilizing GPS systems to fine grade with equipment
• reading blueprints
• Foremans will lead crews of 5+ people

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Foremans will need 2+ years of supervisory experience, leading a construction crew of 5+ people
• reading blueprint and GPS systems experience (Trimble and Topcon preferred for dozer and motor grader operators)
• heavy equipment operators will need at least a year of experience operating a dozer and motor grader, fine grading with GPS preferred
• off road truck drivers will need experience will large haul trucks

SHIFTS:

• Monday through Friday, 7am-7pm
• MANDATORY SATURDAYS, 6-8 hours shift, in case of weather issues throughout the week
• all work is done outdoors, candidates must be willing to work outdoors
• willing to work 60-65 hour work weeks
