As part of Cigna\'s Risk Management and Underwriting (RMUW) organization, the Client Strategy, Consulting and Analytics organization is committed to providing our external clients with analytical reporting and consultation that is relevant and actionable. The Client Strategy, Consulting and Analytics organization provides insights that enable employers to make strategic decisions regarding Cigna\xe2\x80\x99s products and services. Our ability to present findings and suggest service offerings to our clients will be critical to the achievement of our enterprise growth goals.

As an O3000 Technical Insight Advisor, you will have a highly visible role, as your primary responsibility is to conduct research and analysis for Cigna\'s largest clients, and articulate findings that can be translated into actionable insights. You will support approximately 12-15 O3000 accounts, and work collaboratively with the Consultative Solutions advisor, account teams, and the clients to successfully deliver reoccurring and ad hoc requests. You will be expected to use internal analytical tools, as well as be proficient in programs such as Excel and Tableau, to help develop processes to streamline reoccurring requests and identify opportunities for innovation based on market dynamics and ongoing client demands and expectations. Strong critical thinking and out-of-the-box solutions is key. You must have a clear understanding of not only how to manipulate data, but also the meaning and purpose behind the outcomes so that others can derive insight from the data, rather than merely numbers.

This role will have limited external facing responsibilities and little to no travel, although you may be involved in discussions that are related to the deliverables that you are responsible for. You will have direct relationships with the client facing support such as the Consultative Solutions advisor and sales partners in order to understand the big picture of client requests and be able to successfully support the strategic initiatives and direction of the client.

What we need from you:
Consultative analysis of client data

  • Prepare clear, concise and actionable client-specific reporting that will be presented to both internal and external audiences. The goal is to not only explain client performance, but provide meaningful insight aimed to deflect future spending.
  • Conduct specialized analyses by synthesizing data into meaningful conclusions that help the client make informed decisions.
  • Utilize tools to help automate reoccurring requests and find solutions to gaps that currently exist.
  • Assist sales with ad hoc requests and collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for innovation and scalable solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver reoccuring reporting and identify and develop ways to streamline and create an easily repeatable process to support the broader organization.
Communication to key partners
  • You will be presenting your findings to internal and external audiences of subject matter expertise, thus ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex analysis is critical.
  • As the lead individual for managing the synthesis of large data-sets into meaningful information to drive actions, it is imperative to develop strong partnerships with other internal team members (Sales, IC peer, account manager).
Contribute to the team
  • Identify opportunities to enhance analytic tools and actively assist/lead in the development of new forecasting tools.
  • Drive the continual development of \xe2\x80\x9cBest Practice\xe2\x80\x9d medical cost analytics and forecasting tools.
  • Support the organization on special projects as needed.

  • Be able to translate data ambiguity into purposeful analysis and results.
  • Clearly explain complex methodologies and processes to peers and matrix partners, in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • You must collaborate and prepare the Consultative Solutions peer and account team for client interactions by ensuring a clear understanding of our reporting capabilities and what analytics can be used to enhance specific program/coaching initiatives.
  • Effectively partner with and influence a cross-functional teams on various special projects throughout the year as needed.
Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Capitalize on Cigna\'s internal analysis tools to develop succinct, meaningful analysis to the client.
  • Determine opportunities and identify solutions to increase analytical processing efficiency within the team.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry, market and competition results.
  • Lead initiatives that fill current gaps in reporting/consulting needs and be able to drive an innovation or improved process from conception to compltion.
  • Strong technical skillset with Office programs and broader data manipulation platforms, with experience in identifying and facilitating streamlining processes and procedures.
Consultative and results driven
  • Demonstrate passion for and dedication to anticipating and meeting the expectations and requirements of clients.
  • Utilize skillset to support Cigna\'s and clients\' strategy and initiatives.
Qualifications we\'re looking for:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required, higher degrees with focus on data science a plus
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience with demonstrated business results in analytical/technical knowledge regarding the industry
  • Expertise in Excel, Tableau, and other data synthesizing programs and strong experience with creating data visualizations
  • Must work well with internal and external client team members and be a collaborative partner
Strong communication skills to be able to translate complex data into easy-to-understand visuals

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 94,300 - 157,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
