About the Role: We\'re searching for our new centralized Head of Global Procurement. You will establish and mature procurement, sourcing and vendor management strategy and processes across all teams and geographies at Remitly. While this role is based in the United States, you will help recruit and grow staff members on your team globally. You\'ll accomplish this by working with the managers and service owners across the company to define clear operating metrics, best practices, and service goals. You will partner with business owners to support execution of spend and vendor management needs by implementing process improvements and review mechanisms as well as ensuring that the Procurement capability stays ahead of Remitly\'s fast growing needs. You Will:

• Work with business leaders across global teams to understand, clarify and scale Procurement needs.
• Build strategy and roadmaps for procurement services across sourcing, vendor management and operations.
• Build, organize and grow a global team of procurement professionals.
• Manage budget, forecast, and operational metrics.
• Create and lead processes, governance and discipline to help us scale.
• Implement processes, standards and disciplines appropriate to our scale and planned growth.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience leading procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and payables functions in medium to large environments, particularly in tech-focused organizations.
• Strong alignment to our mission and values.
• Build and execute toward a strategic vision for a high-performing Procurement organization.
• Expertise in industry standard Procurement practices for process and quality management.
• Applied business acumen and strong ROI mindset and methodologies such as total cost of ownership (TCO) in partnering with business, product/technology teams for "build vs buy" decisions, procurement of SaaS products, various cloud based applications

In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
