$55,000 - $65,000, with additional robust bonus structure

As a Head Brewer at Flix Brewhouse, you will have the opportunity to create exceptional experiences for our guests by effectively brewing our core line of award winning craft beers, contributing to seasonal offerings, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production goals - all the while maintaining quality standards. You will maintain a monthly inventory, develop new recipes, and work with the L&D team to communicate new offerings to the team.



To be successful in this role, you should be a certified Cicerone Beer Server with at least three years of experience working in a brewery. You should have a strong understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures, as well as a general understanding of fluid dynamics and mechanical inclination. You should also be self-motivated, positive, and passionate about your work, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods of time. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from an accredited MBAA course.

The primary job of the Head Brewer is to effectively and efficiently brew our core line of award winning craft beers, contribute to seasonal offerings, maintain quality standards, as well as meet an exceed production goals.

Job Purpose:

To ensure guest satisfaction is delivered through quality craft beer production.

Job Qualifications:

Candidate must work well independently and with others. Candidate must have a true passion for the art of brewing. Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of professional brewing experience. A candidate with mechanical inclination and general understanding of fluid dynamics is highly preferred. Cicerone Certified Beer Server or higher certification preferred. Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Job Tasks:

Expected to work a minimum of 50 hour work weeks All aspects of beer production including: milling/mashing in, fermentation, cellaring, carbonation, yeast management and dispensing. Cleaning and sanitation of all equipment. Monthly inventory of all ingredients, product and chemicals. Develop new recipes in conjunction with the Head Brewer. Supervise and communicate duties to Assistant Brewer on site. Communicate new beer offerings with management staff. Work with Director of Learning and Team Member Development to communicate new offerings to hourly staff members. Assist in crowler sales at the bar on Fridays. Assist with and speak at BrewFests once per month.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift 50lbs or more.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to heat/cold from the mechanical equipment. Moderate to loud noise level.
