POSITION SUMMARY:

Guest Services Representative is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, comfortable, friendly atmosphere for all guests of AWS. Provides professional and comprehensive support to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

SCHEDULE:

Tuesday - Saturday

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling the AWS mission

? Develop, share, and use approved tools and processes to contribute to efficient workflow

? Provide quality customer service in-person, electronically, and by telephone

? Work with the Guest Services Coordinator to manage the daily flow of the Adoption Center Lobby to create a well-organized workflow of adopters, fosters, and team members

? Conduct animal adoption counseling and convey animal behavior and medical records to adopters in a way that is easily understood

? Complete animal adoptions, ensure all transaction paperwork and computer records are complete and accurate

? Facilitate animal intake for owner-surrendered, lost, stray, and seized pets from members of the community and animal control officers

? Assist with the admissions program for the pre-intake of owned pets

? Complete disease control and cleaning of public areas daily and ongoing throughout the day

? Graciously receive donations; ensure donor and gift information is collected and accurate

? Responsible for properly handling financial transactions

? Notify the Guest Services Coordinator of sickness or injury of an animal or person in the facility, needed supplies, faulty equipment, and/or inappropriate behavior of any individual

? Interact with and assist volunteers in a welcoming, supportive, and friendly manner

? Remain knowledgeable and in compliance with AWS Personnel Guidelines, applicable State and Federal laws and AWS policies, procedures and programs.

? Support programs and activities of AWS as requested.

EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:

? Ability to communicate in a positive, proactive manner

? Customer service training/retail experience

? Experience in an animal related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
