Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing the front counter, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience with retail sales and cashiering. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. This position offers an engaging environment where you will interact directly with customers, handle transactions, and support merchandising efforts.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Operate POS systems efficiently for processing sales and returns Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately, including giving change and balancing registers Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer experience and sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front area, including merchandising and stocking shelves Manage phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries Support supervising staff during busy periods or special events Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and product displays Promote store promotions and new products to customers through effective communication Ensure compliance with store policies and safety procedures

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or others) preferred Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and retail math Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette background Ability to work in a fast-paced grocery or retail environment with basic math proficiency for transactions
