Group / Activity Therapist \xe2\x80\x93 Full Time

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week. Working days are Monday - Friday.

Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. The Group Therapist is an important member of the Arbour Hospital\'s inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activity Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Arbour Hospital\'s inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate 4-5 groups per day
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

Requirements

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field preferred. OTR/L also welcome to apply
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred
