The Groundskeeper and Assistant will be responsible, under the direction of the motel manager, for maintaining the property's cleanliness, appearance, and functionality. This role requires versatility, including lawn care, property cleanup, assisting with unit turnovers, and ensuring outdoor areas are well-kept.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping maintenance.
Keeping sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor areas clear of debris, snow, and hazards.
Assisting with property cleanup, including moving supplies and furniture between units.
Helping with basic cleaning tasks in vacant units to prepare for guest check-ins.
Minor property upkeep, such as touch-up painting, light repairs, and maintaining outdoor fixtures.
Reporting any maintenance issues to management in a timely manner.
Assisting with the setup and coordination of special projects as needed.
Ensuring all safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and alarms, remain in place and in working order.
Skills:
Groundskeeping and lawn care experience.
Basic handyman skills (painting, patching walls, small repairs).
Ability to lift and move supplies, furniture, and equipment as needed.
Time management and ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance is a plus.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with guests, visitors, and fellow employees.
Must be physically capable of lifting and moving objects as part of daily tasks.
Ability to manage time efficiently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
