job summary:
We are seeking a Sr. POS ReactJS Developer with 5+ years of Front End experience, 5 years in a development role, previous experience creating a retail grocery store point of sale system and a passion for building great software to join our growing NextGen Point of Sale team. Leverages ReactJS as the primary JavaScript front end framework, focused on standing up and building brand new experiences on POS properties. They will be working in an Agile SAFe environment so a commitment to collaborative teamwork is essential.

Candidates must be from the locations MI, WI, IN, IL, OH, and KY

Retail industry experience is a must and Point of Sale (POS) and self checkout experience is a must

responsibilities:
Job Duties -Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Work with front-end technologies and frameworks

• Follow best practices for secure programming and deployment

• Ability to take ownership of a project and execute it with excellence

• Translate requirements into high-quality, testable, scalable software

• Identify performance issues and bugs, and devise solutions to these issues

• Participate in team code reviews and design discussions

• Work closely with Vendor partner to ensure sound practices regarding site architecture, performance and reliability, and content delivery are in place

• Adhere to internal best practices with respect to coding standards, unit test coverage, automation, and continuous integration

• Be a team player and collaborate with and train others in the organization as needed

• Work in SAFe agile development methodology

Job Requirements -Required Skills & Experience:

- Grocery or retail Point of Sale and/or Payments development experience.

- 5+ years of UI development experience.

- 3+ years experience with ReactJS (AngularJS acceptable depending on other skills).

- Ability to write clean, modular, reusable code (using design patterns) and experience with unit-test driven approach to development.

- Ability to gather technical architecture from architects and leads as well as help build POS applications.

- Technical knowledge and experiences on corresponding technologies, help identify best practices of that tech stack.

- Mentor and coach junior developers.

- The ability to present technical concepts to technical and non-technical internal/external stakeholders.
