Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Graphic Designer/Production Specialist to join our team at Yotta Sky Group, a a full-service graphic design, digital printing and signage company. The ideal candidate will blend graphic design expertise with hands-on production knowledge to deliver high-quality printed materials and digital solutions. This role requires proficiency in creating impactful designs, preparing production-ready files, and managing the printing process efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

- Create designs tailored for digital printing, including business cards, flyers, banners, signage, packaging, and custom print projects.

- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop creative concepts and translate ideas into visually appealing designs.

- Edit, enhance, and finalize customer-provided artwork for printing, ensuring files meet production specifications.

- Maintain brand consistency across all materials while meeting individual project requirements.

Production Preparation

- Prepare files for print production, ensuring correct sizing, color profiles, resolution, and bleed/margin setup.

- Perform pre-flight checks to verify that files are print-ready and meet industry standards.

- Operate design and print software to troubleshoot and adjust artwork as needed.

Printing and Production

- Operate and oversee digital printing equipment, ensuring output quality and consistency.

- Assist in finishing processes, such as laminating, cutting, binding, and mounting.

- Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies for ongoing production needs.

Client and Team Communication

- Liaise with customers to clarify design briefs, production timelines, and output expectations.

- Provide recommendations on material choices, finishes, and design improvements to enhance final products.

- Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Quality Assurance

- Conduct thorough quality checks on printed materials to meet or exceed client expectations.

- Identify and resolve any design, color, or production-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred.

- 2+ years of experience in graphic design and/or print production (experience in a digital printing environment is a plus).

Skills and Tools:

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.

- Familiarity with RIP software and digital printing equipment, such as large-format and sheet-fed printers.

- Experience with Xerox Digital Press, Ricoh Printers, Mimaki Printers, Cutter and Flatbed Printer.

- Knowledge of color management, print file setup, and finishing techniques.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in signage or large-format printing.

- Understanding of variable data printing and customization.

- Basic knowledge of photography or motion graphics is a bonus.
