Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Granulation Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality granulated materials in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with manufacturing processes, materials handling, and laboratory procedures, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Candidates with knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and warehouse experience are highly preferred.

Duties

Operate and monitor granulation equipment to produce consistent product batches according to specified standards. Assist with material handling, including loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished products. Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Follow CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines to maintain product quality and compliance. Document production activities accurately and maintain detailed records for quality control purposes. Support packaging operations by preparing products for shipment and ensuring proper labeling. Utilize forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the facility. Collaborate with laboratory personnel for sampling and testing as needed to verify product specifications. Adhere to safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements

Operating, cleaning and set up the granulation equipment such as high-shear mixers, fluid bed dryers (FBD), sifter , mills, and Blender.
Qualifications & Skills:Education

High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Pharmacy / Science or relevant technical field.
Experience

1-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical solid dosage manufacturing preferred. Experience with wet granulation, dry granulation sifting, milling and blending processes.
Technical Skills

Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements Ability to operate granulation machinery and related equipment. Understanding of granulation principles (binder preparation, moisture content, particle size).
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and handle material bags (up to 25 kg, depending on site policy). Standing for extended periods during operations. Ability to work in controlled environments with PPE. Execute granulation steps as per approved BMR/BPR and SOPs. Monitor critical process parameters (CPPs) such as mixing time, impeller/chopper speed, binder addition rate, inlet/outlet temperature, drying time, etc. Perform in-process checks including LOD (Loss on Drying), particle size, and appearance of granules. Adjust process parameters within allowed limits if required and escalate deviations. Record all activities accurately and timely in BMR/BPR. Maintain logbooks (equipment usage, cleaning, etc.) as per GDP requirements. Report any deviations, OOS/OOT results, or abnormalities to the supervisor. Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and data integrity standards. Perform cleaning of granulation, sifter and blending equipment as per cleaning SOP. Verify equipment cleanliness before starting operations. Assist in preventive maintenance tasks coordinated by the engineering department. Follow all safety procedures while handling powders, granules, and equipment. Use appropriate PPE such as masks, gloves, gowns, goggles, etc. Maintain cleanliness and orderly working conditions in the granulation area. Assist other team members and support cross-functional activities as needed.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
