Frontier Cooperative is hiring a Grain Operations Associate to assist our Tecumseh, Ne location. This position is full time with benefits. Training is provided.
Operations Associates perform a wide variety of duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Acknowledge patrons and provide customers with the Ultimate Customer Experience: approach customers in a courteous & professional manner at all times, assist with purchases & deli when necessary. ver when necessary.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled, work environment and develop safe work habits.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Follow all company policies, procedures and safety requirements. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Complete all safety reports and required record keeping, comply with company policy and government regulations regarding appropriate commodities handled.
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed for safe and efficient operation. Perform housekeeping & regular preventative maintenance to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, both inside and outside of all facilities.
- Control and monitor all load-out functions, load and unload products from trucks in a timely manner, blend products as prescribed and/or generate blends, monitor and maintain quality of inventory and blended products.
- Operate various types of heavy farm machinery & equipment to load & unload bulk fertilizers, chemicals, seed & grain products.
- Perform all job functions as needed to ensure the facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.
- May assist with Rail Shuttle & at other locations as needed.
- Exhibit a willingness to learn & desire to work in Agriculture. Ability to adapt, think quickly & make decisions. Be dependable, trustworthy, & reliable.
- Operations Associate positions are exposed to working in grain dust, adverse weather conditions & temperatures, sitting, standing, kneeling, crawling, reaching, confined spaces for short periods of time, extending, grabbing, pulling, jogging, walking, jumping, stretching, lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, rail cars, stairs and bins frequently.
- Ability to work longer hours to meet business demands during peak seasons.
- Ability to operate, or learn to operate, heavy machinery to load & unload bulk fertilizer & grain products for customers & our warehouses. Machinery & Equipment such as: Forklifts, Loaders, Payloaders, Bobcats, Telehandlers, ATV\'s, Mules, Mowers, Conveyors, Tractors, Farming Equipment & other Machinery.
