Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing an exceptional experience for our guests while managing the retail operations of the golf shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for golf, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the golf shop. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately and providing receipts to customers. Manage inventory through effective merchandising and stocking practices, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and replenished as needed. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about merchandise features and benefits, promoting upselling opportunities. Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance on customer service best practices and retail operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop to enhance the shopping experience. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed. Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and sales reporting. Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or taking reservations for tee times or events.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, with a background in grocery store operations considered a plus. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic retail math is essential. Experience with supervising staff or leading teams is advantageous.
