Global Communications Manager \xe2\x80\x94 USA (remote) Waylay is actively searching for a full-time Global Communications Manager in the US to join our Belgium-based technology company to strengthen and grow our brand, market reach, partnerships, and customer base through communications strategies and tactics. This is a remote full-time position. The hired candidate will ideally be based in the Midwest or on the East Coast and work with global teams. This is a new position. About Waylay Waylay is the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading hyperautomation platform for complex data transactional environments that require business rules and machine learning to be combined in real-time, where Waylay acts as an automation operating system in the complex world of workflow orchestration. Waylays customers automate their workflows in record breaking time in a low-code and no-code console, which removes the traditional division between engineering and commercial teams. The company supports solutions powered by Waylay in telecommunications, financial, industrial, and utility industries. Waylay\xe2\x80\x99s global headquarters is based in Ghent, Belgium with growing teams in EMEA, AMER and APAC. Position Overview As a member of a global marketing team, the hired person will provide global communications to support and showcase how Waylay is a leading hyperautomation company and the ideal choice when it comes to selecting an AI orchestration platform. The hired candidate will produce all forms of content including, but not limited to, press releases, media advisories, articles, blogs, white papers, case studies, use cases, data sheets, website, in addition to managing Waylay\xe2\x80\x99s speaking engagements, webinars, panel discussions, podcasts, and social media channels. The hired candidate will be part of a dynamic and fast-moving, global marketing team and company in an ever-changing industry. Every day brings new challenges, so you will need to be able to adapt and change directions quickly and remain a team player at heart. The remote role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer based on the US East Coast and will best suit an individual who is a highly motivated self-starter who is not shy of new initiatives and especially loves to write with an excellent eye for detail. Responsibilities
  • Co-create and implement a global communications strategy and company messaging.
  • Manages and prepares communications materials in support of promoting the Waylay brand, its technology, products, and SMEs as leaders and experts in automation.
  • Writes and edits content for press releases, media advisories, articles, blogs, brochures, white papers, case studies, use cases, data sheets, website, emails, ads, social, video/animation scripts, newsletters, presentations, and more while crafting for a global reach to varying buying personas in different industries with different pain points and adhering to a specific editorial style guidelines and company messaging.
  • Supports media advocacy strategies to strengthen engagement with media and influencers. Fosters relationships with the media. Develops contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders. Maintains media coverage archives and builds PR contact database.
  • PItches Waylay\xe2\x80\x99s automation story ideas to leading media outlets and arranges interviews with Waylay SMEs. Secures Waylay authored blogs to publish on blog hosting sites.
  • Manages webinars, panel discussions, hackathons, and other online events from planning and recording to ROI.
  • Manages speaker submissions to global events and award applications.
  • Manages Waylay\xe2\x80\x99s podcasts including serving as show host, selecting/booking guests, and editing audio.Books Waylay SMEs to appear as guests on other key podcasts.
  • Manages Waylay\xe2\x80\x99s social media networks (organic and paid) to strengthen the Waylay brand, market reach, partnerships, and customer base. Crafts social content, stories, livestreams, and works with Waylay Multimedia Designer to meet goals. Tracks metrics and writes weekly social media (organic and paid) ROI report.
  • Manages the content translations by contractors from English to various languages for marketing and sales collateral if and when needed.
  • Participates in company, team, partner, vendor, and marketing-related meetings. Assists with new marketing initiatives and other communications related duties as assigned and as Waylay continues to grow.
  • Works closely with marketing, sales, and other Waylay staff and interacts with partners, prospects, customers, and vendors in a global environment.
Skills & Experiences
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited university in communications, journalism, marketing, international business, or related field of study. A very minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a communications or a writer\xe2\x80\x99s role, preferred but not required. Previous technology company experience is preferred but not required. Experience working globally is a plus but not required.
  • Polished, highly motivated, self-starter and talented communicator with a passion for technology and global business who thinks out-of-the-box, is a talented wordsmith, and has a gifted skillset to transfer thoughts, ideas, and technical terms eloquently on paper for all reading comprehension levels. Creatively smart with ideas, impeccable copywriting and copyediting skills.
  • Computer and tech savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms. Familiarity or experience with Hootsuite, HubSpot, CRMs, WordPress, Webflow, and/or other advanced software and applications is a plus but not required.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated. Excellent project management and coordination skills with ability to manage, juggle, and track multiple and simultaneous projects, events, and deadlines.
  • Able to work with global teams working in different time zones. Able to work under pressure and juggling multiple projects with shifting priorities/deadlines in a fast-paced environment while always keeping an eye for detail and quality.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and follow through in addition to outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to interact with people at all levels while demonstrating tact, diplomacy, discretion, and maturity. Self-discipline to work remotely while remaining virtually connected to teams in a global work setting. Flexible with time to attend occasional meetings outside normal working hours due time zone differences.
