We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a GIS System Engineer with an existing DoD Secret Clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification to support the USMC from the Installation Service Branch data center in Kansas City, MO. The GIS System Engineer will perform needs assessments, create geospatial solutions, secure and patch IT infrastructure, and execute project plans within the customer\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise environment. The candidates will execute the responsibilities of a GIS System Engineer, which include:

• Implementing proven IT/GIS strategies for platform architecture
• Designing architecture solutions to support multiple systems feeding data into ArcGIS Enterprise
• Designing and implementing configuration solutions (including Virtual Machine Infrastructure) to meet day-to-day operations
• Working closely and actively with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS Enterprise platform

The following are requirements of the GIS System Engineer:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s in geography, IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
• 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience designing, implementing, and/or administering Esri enterprise GIS solutions/systems.
• DoD Secret Clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Experience with high availability systems and troubleshooting platform issues.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online.

The following are desired capabilities and experience of the GIS System Engineer:

• Certifications (GISP, Esri Enterprise, Microsoft, PMP).
• Experience with enterprise geodatabase management.
• Knowledge of cloud services and concepts.
• Experience using REST and web service endpoints to create secure web applications.
• Experience developing web applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript or other JavaScript mapping APIs.
• Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
