Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our trucking operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective transportation services. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to manage a team of drivers, dispatchers, and support staff while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
: Oversee daily trucking operations, including fleet management, routing, and scheduling to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
Team Management
: Train and supervise drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
Financial Oversight
: Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Regulatory Compliance
: Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Customer Relations
: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning
: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, expand services, and increase profitability.
Performance Metrics
: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Experience
: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trucking, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. History with refrigerated freight and McLeod Software TMS preferred
Education
: Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
