Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to be responsible for our Auburn Maine transit Citylink service (Citylink). In this role, you'll oversee the operation including training and scheduling bus operators and dispatchers. Other tasks making sure buses are well maintained and serviced regularly. You'll be keeping track of transportation operations and ensuring that all policies, procedures, and safety rules are followed.

The system consists of Six buses on route M-F, with limited service on Saturday. The comingled paratransit/micro transit services operate four vehicles M-F with limited service on Saturday.

To be a successful General Manager, you should need leadership skills and maintain the company's high standard of customer service. Really, for us, the best General Managers can enforce discipline and have difficult conversations in a friendly, straight forward way.

General Manager Responsibilities:

Directing activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles. Planning, organizing, and managing subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards. Directing investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints. Collaborating with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures and customer service objectives. Arranging repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles. Complying with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, and government regulations. Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits and attending company safety meetings.

General Manager Requirements:

At least 2 years experience as a transportation manager in a similar industry. Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics. Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics. Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations. Excellent leadership skills. Good conflict resolution skills. Commercial Driver's License

Projected Total Compensation: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
