We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for our restaurant, who will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing staff effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in both quick service and fine dining environments. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations including food preparation, cooking, and service delivery.
Manage inventory control to ensure proper stock levels and minimize waste.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for efficient order processing and cash handling.
Train, develop, and supervise staff to enhance their skills in customer service and food handling.
Implement training programs for new hires focusing on culinary experience and restaurant management practices.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
Handle budgeting responsibilities to optimize operational costs while maximizing profitability.
Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and leadership strategies.
Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process for new employees.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
Coordinate catering services and manage banquet events as required.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in restaurant management with a focus on quick service or casual dining environments.
Strong background in food service management with knowledge of food production techniques.
Experience in supervising staff, including training & development initiatives.
Familiarity with kitchen management practices and food safety standards.
Previous experience in hospitality management or related fields is preferred.
Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills within a fast-paced environment.
Experience with budgeting and financial oversight within the restaurant sector is advantageous.
