Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various carpentry tasks and be proficient in multiple areas of construction. This role involves installation of exterior metal siding and interior finishing of new custom home in Markleville, Indiana. Candidates must demonstrate residential construction experience and an ability to maintain safety standards on the job site.

Duties

Perform general carpentry tasks including framing, drywall, doors, windows, cabinets, counter-tops, tile, plank flooring, and finish fixtures. Handling and installation of metal siding. Installation of plywood sheathing. Exterior deck, fencing, and shed construction. Carry out construction painting tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures.

Requirements

Proven experience in general carpentry or related fields. Proficiency in framing, drywall installation, caulking, painting, tile laying, cabinet and counter-top installation, and detailed trim work is highly desirable. Must have basic hand tools and standard construction work clothing. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong physical stamina and the capability to lift heavy materials as needed. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in construction environments. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
We have secure work through the winter. Will be hiring immediately the best candidate(s) for a 1099 Independent contractor position.

Pay based on experience and performance.
