Responsibilities



Financial Transaction Management: Accuratley record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments into accounting software like QuickBooks. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable(processing vendor invoices and payments) and accounts receivable(generating clients invoices and tracking collections). Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure internal records match statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Payroll Processing: Oversee and process payroll, including calculating wages, tax deductions and benefits while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Tax Preparation and Filing: Gather necesssary financial records, prepare, and file various tax docements(e.g., sales tax, quarterly payments, annual income tax returns for individuals/businesses ) with federal, state and local tax authorities. Financial Reporting: Generate timely financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports for management review and decision-making. Compliance and Audits: Ensure adherence to all accounting standards(e.g.,GAAP) and tax laws, assisting with internal and external audits by providing documentations as needed. Client/Vendor Communication: Act as a liaison for clients and vendors regarding payments inquiries, tax questions and general financial matters. Client Consultation/Interviews: Meeting with clients to gather necessary financial information (W-2s, 1099s, Income statements, expenditure documentation) and understand their financial situation.

Skills



Education: A high school diploma may duffice for entry-level bookkeeping, but employer perfer an associate or bachelors degree in accounting or finance. A Preparer Tax identification Number(PTIN) is a requirement for tax return preparers and certifications like Certified Bookkeeper(CB) Proficiency with Software : Expertise in bookkeeping (e.g. QuickBooks,) and tax preparation sofware, as well as general office applications(e.g., Microsoft Excel and Word.) Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Crucial for avoiding costly financial and tax errors. Knowledge of Accounting Principles: A solid understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) and relevant tax laws. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, spot trends or issues and resolve discrepancies. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Esscential for managing multiple clients transactions and strict deadlines, especially durning tax season. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy tax seasons while maintaining high-quality work standards. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $31.75 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
