We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Gas Station Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail fuel station. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining inventory, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Gas Station Manager will play a vital role in driving sales, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily station operations, including cashiering, fueling, and store functions
Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction
Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and purchasing to optimize product availability
Implement effective merchandising strategies and pricing to maximize sales and profitability
Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures accurately
Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Develop marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a skilled team
Monitor sales performance using POS systems and retail math techniques to meet sales targets
Manage budgeting processes and control expenses to ensure financial health of the station
Foster a positive work environment through effective communication skills and leadership
Requirements
Proven management experience in retail or gas station environments with supervisory responsibilities
Strong knowledge of inventory control, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
Demonstrated leadership abilities in team management, training & development, and employee orientation
Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
Experience with budgeting, merchandising, marketing, and store management operations
Proficiency in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory management
Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours including shift management; experience in grocery or retail stores is advantageous
Strong organizational skills combined with time management expertise for overseeing daily store functions
