Job Title: Full-Stack Developer

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Director, Development



GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Active team member of full-stack app development for in-house services
• Responsible for the development, testing, and deployment of new features
• Collaborate with developers to build new frameworks and applications
• Participate in code review practices prior to merging and deployment
• Debug production issues and implement fixes
• Write automated test cases to pass acceptance criteria
• Adhere to consistent code formatting and best practices
• Extend the capabilities of our CI/CD pipeline
• Work within and improve our iterative agile workflow:
  • Focus on providing value through developing small, incremental features quickly
  • Prioritize quality through testing, pair coding, and peer review
  • Value constant collaboration and feedback with developers and users

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent projects
• Knowledge of application architecture and software design principles
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with a team

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong experience with Python for application development
• Experience with Django + Django REST Framework extremely desirable
• Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Front-end experience in React and JavaScript/TypeScript a plus
• Understanding of Git, branching, common commit/pull request/merge practices

SKILLS PREFERRED:

• DevOps capabilities, Linux/Ubuntu experience for debugging/server maintenance
• SQL database administration, schema creation, query optimization
• AWS EC2/RDS instance creation/maintenance
• Ability to set up testing/deployment workflows using GitHub Actions
• Use of Ansible or similar tool for server provisioning/deployment
• Experience with Docker containerization

Salary Range: $80-$105k depending on experience. Full time employment comes with excellent benefits (including almost fully subsidized health benefits) and generous PTO to start.
