The Town of Tuftonboro has an opening for a service-oriented ethical team member. The positon involves working varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and some call at night from home. There are assigned take-home cruisers and residency requirements. Uncertified officers will have to complete the NH Police Standards and Training Council full-time academy. The Town of Tuftonboro will provide funding for this training to a qualified candidate. The salary range is $25.17-$34.87 depending on certifications. Medical, dental and retirement benefits are included with this compensation package. The hiring process will involve a written test, physical agitlity test, oral board, polygraph examination, psychological screening, medical examination, drug test, and an extensive background investigation. Some pre-employment tests may be waived for certified officers. All officers have a one-year probationary period.
