Completes documentation and correspondence related to patient's medical record in a timely manner
Scholarly Activity

Engages in activities to develop expertise as a scholar and educator
Engages in activities to develop expertise as a clinical preceptor
Engages in activities to develop expertise in patient care
Develops and presents at professional meetings and conferences on a regular basis
Contributes to the professional literature on a regular basis
Attends continuing education to maintain the standard of care and clinical privileges
Service Administration

Contributes to college strategic initiatives through committee participation and other related activities
Involvement in professional activities on a local and national level
Attends scheduled faculty, service, and department meetings
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Possess a Doctor of Optometry degree from an ACOE-accredited institution and are licensed or licensed eligible to practice in Illinois.
Residency training in Primary Care or Pediatrics at an ACOE-accredited institution, or five years of equivalent experience, is preferred.
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Successful credentialing through IEI Professional Standards Board.
