We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Preschool Assistant to join our team!

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in creating a positive learning environment and providing high-quality instruction and care to our preschoolers. This is a school year position. Opportunities available for summer employment.

As a Preschool Assistant you will...

+

Create a safe and nurturing learning environment

+

Guide children in the development of language, motor, and social skills

+

Execute age-appropriate, hands-on activities for 2-5 year old children

+

Enforce policies and procedures set by the school

+

Participate in professional development and other school-related activities

+

Communicate daily with parents at drop off and pick up

+

Foster an atmosphere of respect and positive reinforcement

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications...

+

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+

Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent preferred

+

At least one year successful experience working with preschool aged children in a childcare or education setting

+

Has a passion for working with young children

+

Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds

+

Experience with the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model is beneficial

+

Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.

+

Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation

+

Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers

+

Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements
