Job Description


Job Summary Responsible for providing supervision to all front office associates and ensures proper completion of all front office operation to maximize revenue and attaining optimal guest satisfaction. Front office operations include but are not limited to, directing and coordinating activities of the front desk, reservations, guest service, and ensuring the proper appearance of the lobby and all public areas. The Front Office Supervisor implements company programs and supervises the daily operations of the front desk to comply with policies and procedures, maximize revenues, and motivate associates to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests. Job Duties

  • Assign rooms, issue room keys, perform wake-up calls, issue informational pamphlets, suggestive upselling, etc.
  • Collect payments from guests following appropriate safety measures and operational standards.
  • Ensure accuracy when accounting for rooms.
  • Communicate seamlessly with all departments of the hotel, ensuring that information is followed up on.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ensure proper interactions through attentive, courteous and efficient customer service to ensure satisfaction throughout stay.
  • Make reservations over the phone, making electronic reservations and respond to email inquiries.
  • Patiently answer all inquiries of our guests and assist them in every way possible.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist department, as needed.
  • Additional duties, as required.
Managerial duties
  • Ensure all company policies and brand standards are being administered consistently and standard operating procedures are being followed
  • Implement company programs and supervise the daily operations of the front desk to comply with policies and procedures, maximize revenues, and motivate associates to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests
  • Monitor SALT surveys and Guest Assistance requests, ensuring all feedback is responded to in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain information on prices, rates, specials, packages, and programs while ensuring all Front Desk associates are trained in these areas as well
  • Informs the General Manager of any unique situations or unusual developments in Front Desk operations
  • Monitors Front Desk communication logs
  • Able to work any shift, including audit, and fill in when other associates are not able to work their scheduled shift
  • Assist with all emergencies at the property and handle them appropriately
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity
  • Ensure proper operations and cash handling are completed per established policies and procedures and in compliance with all local, state, and federal agencies
  • Ensure all front office equipment is in good working condition
Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Over (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of ONQ PMS system, preferred. \xc2\xb7 Self-starting and outgoing personality with a pleasant disposition, and strong attention to detail. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with guests and visitors. Physical Environment The position performs indoors. The position constantly requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; a stationary stance for long periods of time and moving about behind a reception desk; and the operation of computers and office equipment. The position frequently requires to move items up to 25 lbs. The position occasionally requires to move items up to 50 lbs. The position rarely requires to perform in a stooping, kneeling, crouching or, crawling position. Notes -A hospitable demeanor must be projected at all times. -The hotel operates seven days per week, twenty four hours per day; schedules are reflective of business needs and employees may be requested to be available to work on days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. -Description subject to change at any time.
