AMANO is vibrant, upscale Mexican restaurant that is located in the historic downtown Caldwell near the Sunnyslope wine trail. We are committed to providing the highest quality of service and are dedicated to the ancestral cooking methods of Mexico that have earned Chef Salvador Alamilla two consecutive James Beard Nominations for Best Chef in the Mountain West Region. We are looking for a Front-of-House Manager to support our wait staff and day-to-day management up our dining areas. FOH mangers support hosts in greeting guests with a warm welcome, manage reservations and the flow of the restaurant. They also ensure that tables are set to standard and ready to receive guests.   • Ensure guests have a memorable experience from the moment they walk in, until the moment they leave.
  • Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
  • Decorate tables with candles, napkins, linens. etc.
  • Place tableware and glasses on tables
  • Assist guests with to-go orders
  • Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
  • Clean and reset tables after guests leave
  • Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
  • Write weekly FOH schedules
  • Extremely knowledgeable about wine, beer, tequila and mezcal
  • Lead team trainings on steps of service and onboarding new team members
  • In charge of monthly team birthday celebrations
  • Execute bottle service, mezcal and tequila flights
  • Communicate flow of service between front-of-house and back-of-house
  • Coordinate large party reservations and events in house to ensure a flawless experience
Skills
  • Prior work experience as a Host, Food Runner, server, bartender, or other restaurant management is required
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
  • Physical ability and stamina to stand for long hours
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred
  • Must love Mexican food + have a passion for destilados de agave
