Job Description

Schedule:

30 hours per week, specific schedule TBD, but availability is required between 7:00 AM and 6:45 PM.

Overview:


We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to patients, family members, physicians, and medical staff while ensuring accurate and timely patient registration, insurance verification, and administrative support. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and professional environment for everyone who enters our facility.

Key Responsibilities:



Patient Interaction:

Greet patients and visitors in person or via telephone, addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Manage patient check-in/check-out, ensuring a seamless process. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Administrative Duties:

Accurately register patients in the Practice Management System (EMR), verifying personal and insurance information. Prepare and organize patient paperwork before appointments. Handle appointment scheduling, including rescheduling for "no-shows" and notifying patients as needed. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Insurance and Billing Support:

Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, noting prior authorization requirements and notifying the Billing Department when applicable. Collect patient payments, record financial transactions, and ensure balances are accurate.

Operational Excellence:

Update and maintain records in the Practice Management System (EMR). Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations. Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment as needed. Assist in responding to patient emergencies with sound reasoning and judgment.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred. Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
