Fast paced small immigration practice law firm seeks a Front Desk Receptionist/Legal Assistant to work with clients and community. Must be bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish. Will help with translations. Responsibilities include: First point of contact between firm and community, front desk duties, maintaining the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter. Must have ability to task switch and answer a multiple line phone system, manage calls and emails, greet walk-in customers and clients, take messages, return messages provide updates to clients on case status, take payments, accept deliveries, including client document drop-offs and hard copy mail, organize mail to be distributed to the correct recipients and files on a daily basis, file documents and client files, and maintain and organize client files in hard copy and update data entry into the legal tracking software systems. Must interact with clients for documents, fact checking and gathering and collecting and organizing exhibits, evidence and documents. Must also be able to schedule all appointments, will do all of the calendaring and gathering information from clients, and filling out basic forms and data entry as requested. Office uses Google Calendar.
Depending on experience and qualifications may also draft documents and various immigration forms, prepare applications for mailing and submission. May also be asked to assist attorneys by collecting, reviewing, preparing and organizing various legal documents. May draft client declarations, statements and affidavits, and with the preparation of client testimony.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
