Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and yard. Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting loads, and ensuring proper documentation. Handle materials with care during heavy lifting activities, adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate material flow, prioritize tasks, and optimize space utilization. Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Experience

Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in materials handling, order picking, shipping & receiving operations. Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on equipment. Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or similar technology for order processing. Previous roles involving construction or heavy lifting demonstrate strong physical capability for this position. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates who have overseen team activities or managed inventory processes. Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
