Summary/Objective


The Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and to quality standards. This role includes supervising crews, enforcing safety practices, managing equipment and materials, and completing necessary documentation and reporting.

Essential Functions

Essential functions and responsibilities as listed below but not limited to:Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews on assigned job sites. Interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate project execution. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Lead, monitor, and document crew performance, productivity, and adherence to project timelines. Take proactive measures to address any performance issues and ensure team objectives are met efficiently. Coordinate the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment; confirm on-site availability. Monitor and report on the status, functionality, and maintenance needs of equipment on-site to ensure operational readiness and safety. Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades as needed. Identify and resolve potential issues or delays proactively. Complete and submit daily reports, safety logs, attendance records, and incident reports. Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites at all times. Serve as the point of contact for crew questions and provide on-the-job training when needed. Report all safety incidents, injuries, or equipment issues to leadership promptly.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven experience supervising construction crews in a field environment. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills. Familiarity with reading blueprints, construction drawings, and project plans. Knowledge of relevant safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and ability to enforce compliance. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, or construction management software for reporting.

Physical Demands

Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more repeatedly during a work shift. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting and bending in varying weather conditions. Flexible working hours including occasional Work in environments with noise, dust, debris, and heavy equipment. Ability to work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight.

Supervisory Responsibilities


This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. OSHA 10/30 certification preferred. First Aid/CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and or as required to deliver the objectives.
