Job Description


Join our growing Food and Beverage team as we prepare for the opening of our renovated Barn member dining space in January, 2024. This new dining venue will feature added dining capacity, two simulators, and an expanded kitchen to accommodate an elevated menu. This improvement will drive significant food and beverage activity in the winter season, and host many catering events in the summer season. We are focused on expanding our Food and Beverage management team now, in preparation for these increased business levels.

Job Summary and Objectives:

The Food and Beverage Manager position manages all dining and banquet service operations and staff, as well as the service training program. The Food and Beverage Manager will ensure smooth operations, adherence to company policies, open staff communication and ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to the membership, guests, and our staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the Servers and Bartenders provide efficient and memorable service for Members and guests with superior professionalism and courtesy.
  • Be visible in all dining areas, recognize and maintain relationships with Members.
  • Act as a liaison between wait staff and kitchen staff to ensure timely and appropriate communications and proper timing for guest orders.
  • Help resolve Member complaints when expressed.
  • Manage the set up and breakdown of items due to F&B activities.
  • Complete daily walkthrough. Check indoor and outdoor dining areas for cleanliness and set up (i.e. table cleanliness, burned out light bulbs, etc.)
  • Oversee complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor and control budgeted / forecasted labor, food and beverage costs.
  • Analyze staffing and business needs, and prepare staff work schedules accordingly.
  • Plan for daily operations utilizing information from golf employees and management.
  • Develop healthy, constructive interpersonal relationships across the organization.
  • Direct Food & Beverage staff as needed based on customer flow and activity.
  • Monitor food quality, ensuring that it meets the expectations of members and club management.
  • Assist in conducting Food & Beverage inventories.
  • Place food and beverage orders.
  • Provide inventory information by the 5th of each month to accounting.
  • Monitor all Food & Beverage product rotation as needed.
  • Interview, hire and train staff to the highest level of guest service.
  • Work with Human Resources Department to resolve employee issues.
  • Work with staff as needed to complete daily tasks.
  • Complete performance reviews as needed.
  • Attending all Food & Beverage meetings.
  • Write policies and procedures for the Department Handbook.
  • Monitor work levels and make staffing changes as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must have an outgoing, engaging personality, exceptional leadership qualities, great attention to detail, and the ability to train staff and hold them accountable for established process and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to capitalize on the strengths of each person; finding ways for them to utilize those strengths daily in the performance of their job.
  • Must have ability to work with a wide variety of personalities on a daily and ongoing basis.
  • Two years\' service/FOH management and operations experience strongly preferred. Training and coaching experience strongly preferred.
