MUST HAVE 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE DESIGNING IN A RETAIL FLORAL SHOP. Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Floral Designer with a minimum of 4 years floral design experience to join our team! We are a floral design shop based in Somerset, NJ. We are looking for a designer with experience producing HIGH END, MODERN/CONTEMPORARY PIECES. The ideal candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, have an eye for design, and have a passion for flowers. Let's create gorgeous flower arrangements together and make a lot of people happy.

Qualifications:

Experience in creating beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, funerals, events, and other special occasions. Experience in creating custom floral arrangements and wrapped bouquets for individuals and businesses. Experience in holiday decorating/installations. Strong understanding of design mechanics. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with motivation to get the job done. Performance-focused. Knowledge of POS System - RTI

A plus if candidates also:

Excel in high-end modern floral designs. Love to create outstanding sympathy arrangements (standing sprays, casket wreaths, etc.) Assisting phone and walk-in clients Excel at wedding designs; bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages

Skills:

Ability to multitask. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly. Ability to use a knife or clippers Attention to detail.
We are looking for someone that understands the floral industry, and its peak holidays, as certain periods of the year are especially busy for us. We are looking for someone who is creative, driven and who loves to WOW a customer with beautiful fresh designs every time!

We are open Monday - Friday 9-6, Saturdays 9-5 and Sundays 9-1.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Responsibilities

Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring high-quality aesthetics and customer satisfaction. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and manage cash register operations efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their floral selections and offering expert advice. Maintain inventory by stocking supplies and managing product displays to enhance merchandising efforts. Collaborate with team members to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.
