About Our Property

The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center's name reflects the contributions of the extraordinary entrepreneur, Andrew Higgins, who designed and built over 20,000 boats in New Orleans that were used in every major amphibious assault of World War II.



Conveniently located directly across the street from The National WWII Museum, the hotel offers 230 era-inspired guest rooms and specialty suites, premium amenities, full-service restaurant, lounge, and a rooftop bar, as well as a second-floor conference center with more than 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Responsibilities

Perform routine floor cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold cleanliness standards. Use appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques for different floor types. Address spills, stains, and accidents promptly to maintain a safe environment. Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure consistent cleanliness throughout the property. Report any maintenance or repair needs related to flooring promptly. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Provide exceptional customer service to guests and address their concerns regarding floor care.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in floor care, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with various floor types and their cleaning requirements. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and techniques. Attention to detail and the ability to identify and address cleanliness issues. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move heavy objects. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Positive attitude and dedication to delivering exceptional service.
