Job Description


$3000 retention bonus: Paid after 30 days of service $1,000, after 90 days $1000, and $1000 when you reach 180 days.

Frito-Lay Inc. , the leading US snack food manufacturer, is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician on medium/light duty trucks in San Jose, California, Technician responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnostics, work order entry, inventory management, and resolution of driver-reported issues. A mobile service truck will be provided. Work hours will be late morning to early evening hours. Candidates must be self-motivated and dependable.

Job Requirements:

3 years of previous experience with Gas or light duty Diesel engine repair(preferred)

  • Ability to read pneumatic and electrical drawings
  • Preventative maintenance of all equipment
  • Major and minor electrical with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot
  • Brake Systems
  • Air systems
  • Body (panels, frame, doors, etc.)
  • Must have own basic tools
Day-to-Day Activities:
Schedule & Prioritize work
Preventative Maintenance Inspections
Proactive / Follow up repairs
Demand work (VCRs & Failures)
Examples of daily follow-up/demand work:
Brakes
U- Joints / Bearings
Steering / Suspension
Starting / Charging
Emissions / Drivability diagnosis
Light Engine repair; Water pumps, Injectors, Fuel Pumps

Salary: $35.00-42.00/ hr.

You will help us maintain and repair our vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues, manage parts inventory, and charge parts and labor to work orders.
