Flaggers (Traffic Control Agents)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, up to 40 hours/week

Winter season: Hours may be reduced to part time.

Overtime may be available during peak seasons

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the utility work crew to ensure safe traffic movement around the work zone in compliance with safety regulations. Flag motorists and vehicles to alert them to obstacles or ongoing repairs. Maintain safety for both the work zone and passing vehicles at all times. Set up traffic control devices (signs, cones, barricades) as needed per job assignment. Direct traffic flow in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines. Clear and professional communication with clients, co-workers and general public.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

Valid driver's license

Reliable vehicle

-- must be able to travel to and from job sites (some sites may be up to 2 hours away)

Smartphone

-- used for schedules, communication, and check-ins

Strong communication skills

-- flaggers stay in constant contact with the crew Ability to

stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Ability to

work outdoors in all weather
