Operating a fleet of GA-8 Airvans and Cessna aircraft, we provide intimate, high-quality aerial experiences for our guests. We are seeking a skilled Fixed Wing Aircraft Mechanic to join our team, ensuring our aircraft remain safe, reliable, and ready to deliver unforgettable tours.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fixed Wing Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on our GA-8 Airvan and Cessna aircraft. The ideal candidate will have an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, experience with small fixed-wing aircraft, and a commitment to safety and excellence in a tourism-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on GA-8 Airvan and Cessna aircraft, including airframe, piston engines, and avionics systems.
Conduct scheduled maintenance, such as 100-hour and annual inspections, in compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation per FAA requirements.
Collaborate with pilots and tour staff to ensure timely aircraft turnaround for daily tour schedules.
Assist with pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm aircraft readiness.
Support occasional maintenance test flights as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hangar environment, adhering to OSHA and FAA safety standards.
Qualifications
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic License required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic, preferably with GA-8 Airvan, Cessna, or similar piston-engine aircraft.
Familiarity with FAA Part 135 regulations and general aviation maintenance procedures.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing airframe, engine, and electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Must provide own tools/toolbox suitable for aircraft maintenance; specialty tools provided.
Valid driver's license and ability to work at Lihue Airport, Kauai.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support tour operations.
Experience with Garmin avionics or composite materials is a plus.
