Purpose of Role: Support all aspects of grinding and fitting parts so that they can be seamlessly installed in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate handheld grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings.

Verify fit accuracy by correctly using gaging with different thickness feeler gages.

Utilize hoist to manipulate castings to the proper position for fitting/gaging.

Keeping track of the part Identification

Correctly fill out shift pitch board to include current pitch and reasons if pitch is missed.

Keep work station in good order for the next shift/operator

Occasionally the Fitter will move by hand gaging weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• High School Diploma
• Experience with Grinders/ Hand tools
• Experience working in a foundry environment a plus
