The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for testing, repairing, and inspecting fire detection systems. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of two years of experience in fire protection systems and holds a minimum Level II NICET certification (or can obtain it within the first eighteen months of employment). Troubleshooting and programming experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Install, program, repair, test, and inspect fire detection and signaling systems as per schedule
Ensure services align with manufacturer's instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies
Communicate system discrepancies and necessary repairs to the Company and the customer
Market EFI services to existing and potential customers
Train Alarm Technician Trainees as assigned
Complete administrative duties, including timesheets and reports
Adhere to all Company Standards and Procedures, including safety policies
Continuously pursue education to maintain certifications and licenses
Qualifications:
Education, experience, and certification as specified in the job description (or equivalent combination)
Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in English
Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work at heights above 10 feet, and in confined areas
Willingness to travel and work in various environmental conditions
