to join our partnered client's healthcare organization and oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy of financial operations while supporting the mission of providing quality patient care. The Controller will work closely with leadership to manage budgets, optimize revenue cycles, and maintain compliance with healthcare-specific regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis with a focus on patient services and operational costs.
Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, reimbursement requirements, and payer contracts.
Monitor and improve internal controls, financial policies, and procedures specific to healthcare operations.
Partner with clinical and administrative leadership to provide insights into financial performance and strategic planning.
Coordinate with auditors, external consultants, and regulatory agencies.
Lead and mentor accounting and finance staff, fostering professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role--healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare compliance standards.
Familiarity with healthcare financial systems, billing, and reimbursement processes (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers).
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
