Job Description

Overview


The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations at FyberCom, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This person will work closely with the CFO and executive team to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and effective forecasting to guide the company's growth.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for management. Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance. Partner with CFO on financial strategy, cost controls, and cash flow management. Provide financial insights to department heads to drive operational efficiency. Assist in financial modeling for projects, acquisitions, and capital investments. Implement accounting systems and process improvements as the company scales.

Qualifications



Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant). 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements. Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Experience managing a team and scaling financial operations in a growing business. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financials to non-financial leaders. High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

Preferred



Experience in telecommunications, utilities, construction, or other capital-intensive industries. Knowledge of broadband funding programs (BEAD, RDOF, state grants) and regulatory compliance. Experience supporting private equity reporting or investor relations. Familiarity with project-based accounting and job costing. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant). 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
