Job Description

MARC, Inc. of Manchester is looking to hire a Financial Assistant for our Financial Department. The position's primary function is to ensure that all financial related matters within MARC, Inc. are in compliance with MARC Policies and Procedures, and with State and Federal, policies, procedures and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree and two years experience of full-charge bookkeeping.


This is a Full-Time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Process vendor invoices, verify documentation, obtain approvals, and ensure timely payments for all AP customers. Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments. Prepares and processes invoices for all Accounts Receivable customers. Maintain accurate A/R aging reports and assist with collection when needed. Reconcile monthly statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors. Assists with DDS attendance billing and one time payments. Reconcile DDS payments. Prepares deposits for accounts receivable funds received. Accountable for accurate record keeping and monthly reconciliation of all Agency credit cards. Reconcile accounts monthly as identified. Responsible for disbursements and reconciliation of petty cash. Prepares weekly cash flow reports. Files monthly sales tax payments. Maintains current vendor and/or state pricing contracts. Orders and maintains office supplies for the Financial and Human Resources departments. Assists in various tasks within the Financial Department in order to ensure the completion of department responsibilities and deadlines. Attends all department and agency staff meetings. Ability to cross train within the department and provide coverage as necessary. Performs other duties as designated by the Financial Director/Coordinator. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



High school, diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred. Two years' experience of full-charge bookkeeping, accounts payable or accounts receivable preferably in a non profit setting. Knowledge of accrual accounting. Experience with financial software and systems. Abila/MIP preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to analyze situations and strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and the ability to transport people served if needed. Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications, and physical efforts with or without a disability.

PHYSICAL EFFORTS:



Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and driving. Ability to stand, sit, use a telephone, and type at a computer. May require occasional lifting of up to 25lbs.
