Job Description

The Final Inspector is responsible for ensuring that cabinets, accessories and finished parts meet quality standards throughout the production process. This involves visually and manually inspecting products for defects, accuracy, and appearance, while also identifying and documenting issues such as surface defects or finishing errors. Additionally, the inspector maintains accurate records of inspections, defects, and corrective actions. They contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and ensuring all activities comply with safety and quality regulations. Collaboration with production teams is essential to resolve quality issues and support process improvements, ensuring the final product meets customer and company standards.

The Final Inspector is responsible for maintaining high product quality throughout a standard workday in the finishing area on the back side of the line and final inspection of cabinets and accessories. The Final Inspector can be assigned to cover cabinets, accessories or finishing on any given day depending on crewing for the department or the needs of the plant. The inspector is expected to stay busy and be proactive in managing their workload, continuously seeking out tasks and areas that require attention without direct supervision. A self-motivated, detail-oriented approach is essential to ensure consistent quality and efficiency throughout the shift.
